2025 Henan University Fully Funded Scholarships for MS, PhD

Henan University is now accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship – High-Level Postgraduate scholarship program for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This Chinese University scholarship for September 2025 intake aims to recruit outstanding international students for master’s and doctoral degrees, fostering high-level international talent with exceptional academic and professional potential.

Henan University Scholarship Benefits

Degree Levels and Duration

• Master’s Degree Students: Duration of 2–3 years, including a 1-year preparatory Chinese language course, if applicable.
• Doctoral Degree Students: Duration of 4 years, including a 1-year preparatory Chinese language course, if applicable.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship , applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Citizenship: Non-Chinese citizens in good health.
• Educational Qualifications:
  • Master’s applicants: Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic performance, under 35 years of age.
  • Doctoral applicants: Master’s degree or above, under 40 years of age.
• Language Proficiency:
  • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK Level 4 or above.
  • For English-taught programs:
    • Native English speakers: No additional requirement.
    • Non-native speakers: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 86 and above.

Application Process

1.) Online Application:

• Register on both the Chinese Government Scholarship Management System https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn (Type: Category B; Henan university agency Code: 10475) and the Henan University Online System https://isclc.henu.edu.cn/info/1021/1470.htm.
• Complete and upload all required documents.
• Ensure accuracy in all submitted information, including passport details and contact information.

2.) Preliminary Review: The School of International Education (SIE), Henan University, will assess eligibility, academic background, and language proficiency.

3.) Academic Review: Henan University experts will evaluate applicants’ academic performance, research abilities, and development potential.

4.) Recommendation to the China Scholarship Council: Qualified candidates will be recommended for final review.

5.) Final Selection: The China Scholarship Council will conduct the final review and select the best candidates.

6.) Admission Notification: Successful applicants will receive their admission results, along with the “Admission Notice” and “Visa Application for Study in China” (JW201 Form), by July 2025.

Application Deadline for China Scholarship at Henan University

The last date to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship – High-Level Postgraduate Program at Henan University is February 16, 2025. Applications for financial assistance under this program are also due by February 16, 2025.
