The University of Birmingham, in collaboration with Kaplan International College London (KICL), is pleased to announce the KAPLAN High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarship designed for exceptional academic achievers.

This esteemed scholarship is open to non-EU international students embarking on undergraduate programs in Arts and Law, Life and Environmental Sciences, Nursing and Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, and Social Sciences. Three outstanding students starting their studies at the University in September 2025 will each receive a £5,000 scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria 

• Eligible candidates must enroll in a foundation course at KICL during the 2025 academic year and have received an offer to study at the University of Birmingham as their firm choice starting September 2025.
• The scholarship is designed to reward academic excellence while fostering a supportive relationship between the University and KICL.
• Scholars are expected to engage in activities such as promoting the Kaplan-University pathway through testimonials, blogging, and assisting with student visits.

Scholarship Benefits 

• The award is exclusively for non-EU students entering their first year at the UK campus, meeting the academic conditions of their program, and paying international tuition fees.
• Applicants must also demonstrate financial readiness to cover living costs, visa, and travel expenses.
• The scholarship cannot be deferred, and recipients must pay their net tuition fees for the first year by November 1, 2025, following enrollment.

Application Process

To apply:

• Students need to apply for admission directly to get considered for this scholarship as per this notice https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/funding/undergraduate/university-of-birmingham-kaplan-high-fliers-undergraduate-scholarship and no separate application is required for this scholarship.
• The three recipients will be selected jointly by KICL and the University based on academic performance.
• Selected students will be asked to accept the terms of the award and commit to its promotional requirements.
• Should a student decline, the next highest achiever will be offered the scholarship.
