Towards World Malaria Day 2025 an international observance commemorated every year on 25 April and recognizes global , continental and national efforts to control , prevent and end malaria . In this backdrop Imara Leadership Initiative (ILI) under the My Health , My Value project works to enhance health challenges in societies and communities in Africa through in country partners to end malaria, neglected tropical diseases and promote reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health at continental, regional, national, sub-national and community levels.
The Malaria Young Leaders Africa Accelerator Programme is a 3 month program designed to strengthen the leadership and management skills of young leaders working to end malaria in a hybrid program

Requirements for ILI Malaria Young Leaders Africa Accelerator Programme
- Be an African citizen or an African in the diaspora from the age of 15 to 35 years old.
- Submit a full application form available online.

Timeline
- 01 February 2025 – Call for Applications Opens
- 28 February 2025 – Deadline for Applications – 23:59HRS EAT
- 01 -30 March 2025 – Applications Reviews and Sorting by Reading Committee
- 10 April 2025 – Selected Applicants notified via E-mails
- 25 April 2025 – Official Announcement of Selected Applicants on World Malaria Day 2025
