2025 St. Francis Xavier University Chadwick-Hayes Scholarship

James Chadwick and Julie (Hayes) Chadwick graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1959 and 1960 respectively.  Their time at StFX shaped their personal and professional lives and how they contributed to their community. 

This award is meant to reflect the opportunity that was given to them by the University and the Xavierian community.  This scholarship is open to high school students in western Quebec and eastern Ontario (North Bay and all points east; southeast to Belleville and all points northeast).

Aim and Benefits of the  Scholarship

The Chadwick-Hayes Scholarship is valued at $30,000 ($7,500 renewable for 4 years).

Requirements

  • Major scholarship eligibility is based on final marks for the five Grade 12 courses used to meet admission requirements for your program.  Please note that final Grade 11 equivalent subject marks may be used in the interim to calculate the average.
  • A minimum average of 85% is required and demonstrated StFX qualities of leadership and service to community.

  • Apply to StFX and submit a first-term Grade 12 transcript(s) by March 1st, 11:59pm AST.
  • You must submit your transcript(s) for admissions consideration by March 1st, 11:59pm AST.
