TAIST-Tokyo Institute is offering a prestigious Master’s Degree Scholarships for international students with a passion for engineering, science, and technology.
This scholarship program, a collaboration between Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and leading Thai universities, offers students the opportunity to pursue advanced education and cutting-edge research in Thailand under expert supervision.
Around 70 scholarships will be awarded, covering:
- Tuition fees for the master’s program.
- Research support in NSTDA laboratories.
- Guidance and supervision from world-class professors and researchers.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science in a relevant discipline (e.g., Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemistry, Physics, Materials, Environmental, Computer Science, etc.) or be on track to graduate before the program start date.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75/4.00 or equivalent, or possess at least two years of work experience, or relevant research experience.
- Provide one of the following English proficiency scores (details specified on the official website).
Application and Selection Process
1.) Prepare Application Documents

- Recent photograph (taken within six months).
- Official bachelor’s transcript.
- Statement of purpose (e.g., senior project summary, study motivation, or research interest).
- Two letters of recommendation: one from an advisor and another from a lecturer, head of department, or company supervisor.
- English proficiency score.

3.) Screening and Interview

- Applications will be screened, and eligible candidates will be notified for an interview.
- Candidates must present any missing documents during the interview.
4.) Final Selection: Successful applicants will be announced, and they must confirm acceptance of the scholarship and submit additional documents to the host university.
