The Super Eagles B boss and his team tightened their grip on the Football League after a big away victory.
The game began slowly, but the atmosphere shifted dramatically when Abia Warriors struck twice within just two minutes.
Ezekiel Ayodele opened the scoring in the 25th minute, capitalising on a corner kick rebound, followed quickly by Ijoma Desouza doubling the lead just a minute later.
The Warriors appeared poised to secure a comfortable away victory, but Remo Stars had other plans.
Determined not to succumb to defeat, Remo Stars responded with vigour. Olamilekan Adedayo ignited hope for the home side in the 37th minute with a stunning curler from outside the box, narrowing the gap to 2-1.
And just before halftime, substitute Jabbar Malik, who also assisted Remo’s first goal, levelled the score at 2-2, pouncing on a rebound after a save from Abia’s goalkeeper.
The second half saw Remo Stars assert their dominance. Franck Mawuena delivered the decisive blow in the 54th minute, rising above defenders to head home a perfectly placed cross from Tochukwu Michael.
This goal not only completed the comeback but also secured all three points for Remo Stars.
With this victory, Remo Stars extended their lead at the top of the NPFL table to an impressive 42 points from 21 matches, sitting six points clear of second-placed Shooting Stars.
The win also marked their fourth consecutive league victory, solidifying their position as title contenders.
Meanwhile, Abia Warriors’ valiant effort was commendable but ultimately fell short, leaving them in seventh place on the league table.
Despite their defeat, they demonstrated they could compete fiercely with the league leaders.
Despite the initial scare, the Super Eagles B coach can now look forward with confidence as his team continues their title push in the NPFL.
