Nigeria, three-time AFCON champions, head into the tournament as one of the favourites, having finished as runners-up in the 2023 edition.
The Super Eagles will look to go a step further after the heartbreaking loss to the Ivory Coast in AFCON2023.
Their biggest challenge in the group is expected to come from Tunisia, who won their only AFCON title in 2004 and eliminated Nigeria on their way to that triumph.
The Super Eagles will begin their campaign on December 23 against Tanzania before facing Tunisia four days later in what is expected to be the most crucial match of the group stage.

Their final group fixture will be against Uganda on December 30 at Fez Stadium, where all their group matches will be played.
With Uganda and Tanzania yet to win an AFCON title, many fans believe Nigeria should have little trouble progressing to the knockout rounds.
Fans confident in Nigeria’s dominance
Following the draw, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) asked fans on social media which team they thought would finish top of Group C.
The overwhelming majority of responses backed Nigeria’s Super Eagles to dominate the group and secure the top spot.
While a few supporters tipped Uganda to cause an upset, most fans predicted that the Super Eagles would win all three of their group matches, finishing with a perfect nine points.
After coming so close to lifting the trophy in 2024, expectations are high for Nigeria to go one step further in Morocco. With a talented squad and a strong history in the competition, fans believe the Super Eagles have what it takes to soar above their Group C rivals and mount another AFCON title challenge.
