Kelechi Iheanacho completed a loan move from Sevilla to Middlesbrough.
Super Eagles ace Kelechi Iheanacho has completed a loan move to Middlesbrough in the Championship.
The 27-year-old joined Sevilla in the summer; however, he failed to settle at the club, starting only five LALIGA games for the club.
Sevilla boss Garcia Pimienta has said Kelechi Iheanacho will decide his next club before the transfer window closes.
Nigeria’s Akor Adams has joined Super Eagles stars Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho and was welcomed in Sevilla in style.
His game time steadily decreased, last playing for the club in December; hence, he pushed for a move this winter. He has now secured a six-month loan move to Michael Carrick’s side.

The numbers relevant to the deal
Boro secured the services of Iheanacho until the end of the season and will cover 80% of his salary for the duration. According to Diario de Sevilla, however, that figure will rise to 100% should the club reach the playoffs.
The loan does not include a buy option; however, Los Nervionenses will receive a fee should Middlesbrough secure a Premier League promotion.
Meanwhile, as one Nigerian striker leaves Sevilla this winter transfer window, Iheanacho, another, Akor Adams, joined the club. The Andalusian club secured the move for Adams from Montpellier, and the 24-year-old made his debut last weekend against Getafe.
