The 23-year-old midfielder signed a four-and-a-half-year contract, adding depth to City’s midfield in the absence of the injured Rodri.
Only Chelsea in 2023 have outspent City’s January transfer splurge, according to Transfermarkt. Gonzalez, formerly of Barcelona and a Spanish Under-21 international, expressed his excitement about the move.
