Manchester City forward Phil Foden has shared his thoughts on the Premier League title race.
The Premier League title race is full of twists and turns, and even as Liverpool sit top of the standings with a six-point lead.
Defending champions Manchester City may have enjoyed a mini resurgence over the past month, but their 5-1 humbling against Arsenal effectively ended their title hopes.
The champions must now divert all their attention to the race for top-four.
Phil Foden, who started the defeat to Arsenal, admitted that the title race is over.
“The title? Yeah, yeah, it’s done for sure, it’s done,” Foden responded when asked about his team’s standing by Eurosport.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola defended Haaland for his controversial comment.
“We know. We’re not stupid. So we’ve got to aim for top four, that’s the next target now and then obviously Champions League as well. So it’s not as if the season has gone.
“We’ve got to be realistic, haven’t we? The performances have not been good enough to get up there.
“The top four is our aim now and then see where we can be in the other trophies.”
Pep Guardiola’s men are 5th with 41 points from 24 games, with just two points separating them from third place Chelsea.
