A Bayern Munich player is set to leave the club, and a Bundesliga rival’s star could be his replacement.
Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier will leave the club at the end of the season, according to reports in the German media.
The 31-year-old’s contract expires in the summer and Bayern have reportedly decided not to offer him a new deal.

Dier out, Tah in?
Dier joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer worth around €5 million in January 2024 and made 20 appearances in all competitions.
The 2019 Champions League finalist has played 12 times this term, with nine coming in the Bundesliga, but could be replaced by Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah, whom the Bavarians attempted to sign last summer.
Tah was part of the Leverkusen side that won the domestic double last season and came close to the treble before losing to Atalanta in the Europa League final, featuring 48 times in all competitions.
What next for Dier?
Dier’s future is now uncertain. The defender may return to the Premier League, where he previously played for Tottenham; however, he could also move to another European league.
Bayern return to action against Werder Bremen on February 7 before travelling to Celtoc for their knockout round playoff first-leg match with Celtic.
