He scored a goal in that game, becoming the second Zidane to score for Real Madrid’s senior team. However, opportunities in the star-studded first team were limited, and he primarily featured for Castilla.

In search of regular playing time, Enzo left Real Madrid in 2017 and joined Alaves. He spent one season there before moving to Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland in 2018. After a brief stint, he returned to Spain to play for Rayo Majadahonda in the third tier. On loan.

In September 2024, at the age of 29, Zidane announced his retirement from professional football. 

Enzo cited a desire to prioritise family matters and focus on his personal investments as the reasons behind his decision.

Enzo did not represent any senior national team at the international level. 

Born in France with Spanish heritage through his mother, he is eligible to play for both countries, as well as Algeria, through his paternal grandparents. However, Enzo has primarily focused on his club career, moving between teams in Spain, Switzerland, and France.
