AC Milan director Geoffrey Moncada has given his view on the future of Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze.
Chukwueze was a transfer target for Premier League clubs in the January transfer market, with Fulham making a late move for the winger.
However, the forward failed to get a deadline-day move to England and decided to stay back at Milan.
Despite his unsuccessful attempt, there is talk on social media that Chukwueze would go to Super Lig club Besiktas.
Fulham have reportedly contacted AC Milan for Samuel Chukwueze’s signature.
Chelsea’s Samuel Chukwueze is set to join AC Milan on a loan move.
Geoffrey opens up on Chukwueze’s transfer
Geoffrey has made it clear that the transfer rumours of Chukwueze were not true and that he is happy in Milan.
Speaking on Sport Mediaset, he said, “For Chukwueze, I can say that he will stay with us, he is another possibility on the right and we are happy.”
The former Villarreal star will have fewer playing opportunities as a result of AC Milan’s January transfer window signing of the attack-minded trio of Riccardo Sottil, João Félix, and Sergio Conceiçao.
Chukwueze has played in 25 games across all competitions this season, with four goals and one assist.
The Nigerian international did not play in the match as AC Milan advanced to the Coppa Italia semifinals with a 3-1 victory against Roma.
