Manchester United beware! Van Nistelrooy confirms Ndidi fit to face Red Devils

Ndidi to follow in Ikpeba’s footsteps as Super Eagles star is linked to Leicester City exit

Leicester City boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy has revealed that Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has recovered from an injury in time to face Manchester United.

Leicester City have received a huge injury boost ahead of their FA Cup clash against Manchester United.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who has been out of action since December 8th, has been declared fit to feature in the match.

Ndidi suffered a hamstring injury in Leicester City’s 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion. However, Foxes boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy has confirmed that the 28-year-old midfielder is now fully fit.

Ndidi contest against Michail of West Ham United.

“Wilf is fine. He had a great week of training, last week and this week. He’ll be part of the squad tomorrow,” Van Nistelrooy said, as revealed by the club’s official website.

While Ndidi’s return is a boost for Leicester City, Van Nistelrooy also revealed that a few players are still struggling with light injuries and will be assessed before the match.

“There’s a couple [of players] with some light injuries. They will be assessed today if they can travel or not. There’s two or three with light injuries who are doubtful tomorrow. We’ll see when we announce the squad,” Van Nistelrooy added.

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United have won both meetings against Leicester this season but this could be even more significant as they look to continue their chase to defend the FA Cup trophy.
