Apeace foundation in Taraba Statre has urged the Nigerian government to lessen its dependence on foreign nations for solutions to the country’s challenges.
Speaking in Jalingo, the Director of the Gideon and Funmi Para-Mallam Peace Foundation, Para-Mallam emphasized the importance of increased local investment in peace-building initiatives.

He said, “We cannot continue to rely on foreign countries like the United States, Canada, and others to help us solve our problems.
“It is high time we encouraged well-to-do individuals in Nigeria to invest in peace-building efforts.”

He further stressed the role of trauma in fueling conflicts and called for substantial resources to be dedicated to peace initiatives, both in Taraba State and across the nation.

Emphasizing that conflicts do not discriminate based on tribe or religion, Para-Mallam urged Nigerians to unite in fostering stability and lasting peace in their communities.
