Security sources have identified Jan Kare, a notorious bandit kingpin, as one of the key masterminds behind terror attacks across multiple communities in Katsina State.
Operating from Tsaskiya Forest in Safana Local Government Area, Jan Kare leads a network of armed criminals responsible for violent raids, kidnappings, and cattle rustling.

According to Zagazola Makama on his x handle, the kingpin’s activities have severely impacted communities in Danmusa, Safana, Dutsin-Ma, Kurfi, and Matazu LGAs, where he allegedly imposes levies on residents and orchestrates deadly attacks.

Security forces are ramping up operations to dismantle his network and restore stability in the affected areas. Authorities have urged locals to provide credible intelligence that could lead to his capture.

Meanwhile, Operation Show No Mercy, a military offensive launched to combat banditry in the Northwest, continues to gain ground, with several terrorist hideouts cleared in recent weeks.
