Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called for unity, peace, and collective progress among the people of Michika as he presented the Staff of Office to Professor Bulus Luka Gadiga, the newly crowned Mbege Ka Michika.

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Fintiri described the event as “historic,” emphasizing that it not only celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Kamwe people but also reaffirms the state’s commitment to traditional leadership as a catalyst for development.

“The creation of Michika Chiefdom is not only a positive response to the people’s request but a bold step to harness the tremendous human and natural potentials of the area,” he stated.

He urged the people of Michika to embrace unity, stressing that their wealth, education, and diverse talents should serve as assets in advancing the Chiefdom’s development.

Highlighting the historical significance of the Kamwe people, Fintiri praised their resilience and contributions to commerce and governance since the 15th century, noting their achievements in academia, civil service, the armed forces, and commerce.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to progress, the governor outlined ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agriculture in Michika and across Adamawa State.
