A large right-wing, ultranationalist demonstration is set to take place in Jerusalem on February 27, calling for the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and the establishment of Jewish settlements in the territory.
The rally, titled “Occupation, Expulsion, and Settlement,” is being organized by the Nachala settlement group along with other right-wing organizations.
Organizers say they have launched extensive outreach efforts, including an “operations room” to coordinate phone campaigns and logistical planning for the event.
According to Nachala, 16,000 fliers have been distributed nationwide, with volunteers promoting the demonstration and over 50 transportation coordinators working to bring supporters to the rally.
“Ahead of the end of the [hostage and ceasefire] deal and the renewal of fighting, the organizers emphasize: this time will be decisive — no to stopping the war, occupy, expel, settle,” Nachala stated.
Ultranationalist calls to rebuild Jewish settlements in Gaza have grown since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and the subsequent war.
Some Israeli cabinet ministers have previously expressed support for “encouraging voluntary emigration” of Palestinians, but explicit demands for expulsion have become more pronounced, particularly following former U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for Palestinians to be permanently resettled outside Gaza.
