Bandits attack Katsina, Zamfara communities, kill one, abduct four

Armed bandits launched fresh attacks on two communities in Katsina and Zamfara states, leaving one person dead, three injured, and four others abducted.

According to a report shared on the official X handle of security analyst Bakatsine, the latest attack occurred on Friday evening in Unguwar Gizo, a community in Maigora district, Faskari Local Government Area, LGA, of Katsina State.

The bandits stormed the area, shooting sporadically, wounding two residents, and rustling a large number of cattle.

“Bandits invaded the Unguwar Gizo community, shooting sporadically. They wounded two people and rustled large number of cattles during the invasion,” he posted.

A similar attack took place on Thursday night in Keta community, Zamfara State. During the invasion, the gunmen killed one person, injured another, and abducted four individuals before fleeing the scene.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incidents.
