Arsenal crumble in title race as Aina’s Nottingham Forest hold Gunners at City Ground

‘Unai Emery said no’ - Iwobi opens up on UEL final against Chelsea, claims he should have started

Arsenal failed to get back to winning ways in the Premier League as Nottingham Forest held the Gunners to a boring draw.

The Gunners’ chances of winning the EPL took a hit following their 1-0 defeat on Saturday at the hands of West Ham United.

Mikel Arteta’s men went 11 points behind Liverpool following the loss and needed a win against Forest to renew their hope.

However, they dropped further points in the game after being held to a 0-0 draw at the City Ground.

As it happened

Nuno Espirito Santo picks an unchanged lineup after Nottingham Forest’s 4-3 defeat at Newcastle at the weekend, while for Arsenal, Jorginho replaced Thomas Partey in the Gunners’ only change.

Arsenal started the game brightly and were the better side of the two teams, but could not open the deadlock in the first half.

In the second half, the Gunners pushed for the opener, but Nottingham Forest defended well to keep Arteta’s men at bay until the final whistle.

Following the draw, Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League crumbled, with Liverpool edging closer to being crowned the winners.
