Egyptian club, Pyramids has been hitted with FIFA transfer ban.
Egyptian Premier League leaders Pyramids FC have been officially placed on FIFA’s transfer ban list, joining a growing list of Egyptian clubs unable to register new players.
According to a source from the club kooora, the transfer ban was imposed due to Pyramids FC’s failure to obtain an electronic passport for Nigerian youth international Tolulope Samuel Ojo, who is currently on loan at El Gouna.
The club’s inability to secure the necessary documentation for Ojo has resulted in FIFA taking action, with Pyramids FC now prohibited from registering new players.
The transfer ban will be a blow to Pyramids FC, who currently sit top of the Egyptian Premier League table.
The club will be unable to strengthen their squad during the transfer window, potentially jeopardising their title chances.
Pyramids FC are not alone in facing FIFA sanctions, with Pharco, Ismaily, Eastern Company, and Aswan SC also subject to transfer bans.
The Egyptian Football Association will be keen to address the issues that have led to these sanctions, ensuring that Egyptian clubs can compete on a level playing field in the future.
The transfer ban will remain in place until Pyramids FC can demonstrate compliance with FIFA regulations, including obtaining the necessary documentation for Ojo.
