Neymar snubs Messi, Ronaldo, names only true king of football

Real Madrid offered me blank check - Neymar

Brazilian footballer, Neymar Jr., has named who is the true king of football.

The former Barcelona forward snubbed the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as he named his “one and only king” of the game.

This was days after Ronaldo declared himself the best the world has ever known in football.

However, Neymar is of the opinion that Brazil legend Edson Arantes do Nascimento, widely known as Pelé, is the only king.

The 33-year-old told The Grefg, “It’s not that I didn’t want to be a king, it’s that for me there is only one king, and that is Pele.

“Many things happened; I had many injuries that cost me a lot in my career, and well, God wanted it that way. I have no reason to be sad, on the contrary.”

“I am very happy with my story and my life. I achieved almost everything I dreamed of, and I even achieved things I never dreamed of. I am very grateful to God for changing my life and that of my family and my friends,” he added.

Neymar, who was tipped to become one of Brazil’s greatest footballers of all time, has struggled with injury in recent years.

Neymar has left Europe and was first in the Saudi Pro League playing for Al Hilal. He left the club in the winter transfer to rejoin the Brazilian club Santos after 12 years.

Since his transfer, he has represented the team in six matches and has scored two goals and three assists.

Meanwhile, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are widely regarded as football’s greatest players ever.

Messi has won eight Ballon d’Or, while Ronaldo has five. Apart from that, Ronaldo is the all-time goal scorer with 924 career goals.
