Chelsea are not planning to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window, despite ongoing concerns over the performances of Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen.
Sanchez started the season as Chelsea’s first-choice under Enzo Maresca, keeping Djordje Petrovic out of the squad before the Serbian was loaned to Strasbourg. However, Sanchez struggled with high-profile errors and was eventually dropped, with Jorgensen stepping in earlier this month.
The Danish shot-stopper, signed from Villarreal last summer, has faced a tough introduction, drawing criticism for costly mistakes against Brighton and Aston Villa. With neither keeper proving reliable, many pundits and fans have urged Chelsea to find a more dependable option.

Despite these concerns, reports indicate the club will not seek a new goalkeeper. Instead, they plan to let Sanchez and Jorgensen continue competing for the number-one spot while assessing returning loanees.
Petrovic, who impressed last season, could return from Strasbourg and challenge for the starting role. Kepa Arrizabalaga is also set to return from his Bournemouth loan, though his long-term future remains uncertain after two years away from Stamford Bridge.

Another potential option is 19-year-old Mike Penders, signed from Genk last summer. The Belgian youth international has played limited first-team football but is viewed as a promising prospect.
For now, Chelsea will stick with Jorgensen as they prepare for their Conference League clash against Copenhagen, hoping stability emerges between the posts.
