Despite the popularity of soccer around the world, the 2024 list of the top ten richest sports teams is dominated by American sports teams.

The average value of some of the richest sports teams in the world jumped 15% from the last year to $5.12 billion.

American football team, Dallas Cowboys, are once again the undisputed most valuable top sport team with a valuation of $9 billion.

The Cowboys have maintained their No.1 ranking since 2016 after they became the first team to surpass $4 billion in value.

Baseball team, the New York Knicks Yankees, broke into the top three alongside NBA side Golden State Warriors.

Real Madrid is the richest soccer team with a valuation of $6.07 billion, but they just miss out on the top ten list as they are ranked 11th on the rich-list, as no Premier League team makes the top 10 on this occasion.
