Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI) is one of the frontline National Non-governmental organizations working in Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States with over a decade experience in providing humanitarian and development services in the North East Nigeria.
It has partnered with numerous government agencies, National and International NGOs as well as UN Agencies in the design, planning, implementation, and supervision of programmes and activities aimed at improving the lives of rural and urban communities.
The organization has footprints across the focal states and has been engaging with communities through its network of field workers and volunteers. TCDI was established in 2008 and registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.), Abuja on 23rd May 2014 with registration number IT/69569 and other regulatory bodies in the focal states.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Logistics Assistant
Locations: Machina and Nguru, Yobe

Job Description
- Maintain computer and manual filing systems and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- As applicable to all positions, you are to maintain a clear understanding of TCDI safeguarding policies
- Regularly reporting and coordinating with the LSO,
- Take inventory records during offload and download
- Maintain contact lists of ad hoc staff, and their activities and provide general support to visitors
- Submit and reconcile records of inventory and report to LSO
- Ensure cleanliness of warehouse and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock through ensuring FIFO & LIPO to ensure effective resource management;
- Support LSO to develop a plan for anticipating supplies and deployment orders
- Support LSO to verify receipt of supplies
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, participating in coordination meetings, and establishing personal networks
- Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, data entry
- Support SLO to coordinate procedures and management of appointments
- To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child, and adult Nutrition concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice
- Perform any other duty as may be required.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess B.Sc Degrees with 2+ years relevant work experience.
