David Alaba’s sister released a new single to seemingly confirmed her romance with famous Nigerian producer turned singer Young Jonn.

Rose May Alaba has set tongues wagging with the release of her latest single ‘One More Night’—and it’s not just because of the music.

 The 30-year-old  Austrian-born songstress, best known as the sister of Real Madrid star David Alaba, has seemingly confirmed a romance with Nigerian superstar producer-turned-singer Young Jonn.

Taking to Instagram to announce the release, Rose May shared an intimate video featuring Young Jonn, in which the pair looked undeniably close, exchanging subtle kisses and cuddling up, all while her song played in the background.

However, it was her heartfelt caption that truly fuelled the speculation.

“A trip down memory lane … OMN was made out of pure love. I’ve never been this open on social media before. We were each other’s first love. I feel like we were still babies when we met, I still had my braces and sh*t lmao. But what I’m trying to say is that this song should represent pure love only. It’s not just a feature – it’s a song that holds a special place in my heart, cause of the special person I did it with cornyy IKR.”

Rose May Alaba: Who is David Alaba’s sister?

While many know Rose May as David Alaba’s stunning sister, she has built an impressive music career in her own right.

 Born to a Nigerian father, George Alaba, a crown prince from Ijebu Ode, and a Filipino mother, Rose May has been making waves in the European and African music scenes.

Her breakthrough single, ‘Love Me Right,’ dominated the Austrian iTunes chart for over four weeks in 2016.

She also represented Austria at the 2017 Europa Music Contest and even performed the theme song for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Despite her international success, Rose May has always been drawn to her Nigerian roots.

 A 2017 visit to Nigeria deepened her love for Afrobeats, leading to the creation of her single ‘My Love (Sabi O),’ which combined Afrobeats and pop elements.

Produced by Adrian Louis and Sovida Beatz, the song became a radio hit in Nigeria. 

She later collaborated with Afropop sensation Mayorkun on ‘50/50,’ which went on to top the Nigerian iTunes charts.

As for her relationship with Young Jonn? Neither has officially confirmed the rumours, but with their undeniable chemistry in ‘OMN,’ fans are convinced there’s more to the story than just music.
