Former spokesman to the ex-Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, Segun Sowunmi, has declared that President Bola Tinubu is the first real politician to ever become Nigeria’s president.
Sowunmi made the remark while noting that former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Muhammadu Buhari, and Goodluck Jonathan are not real politicians.
Speaking on TVC News, the PDP chieftain said the opposition has its work cut out under Tinubu’s administration.
According to Sowunmi, it is becoming challenging for the opposition to oppose Tinubu’s administration.
He said: “In the present dispensation of the APC, President Tinubu-led federal government, the first thing we need to accept and which we are accepting now is that our work is cut out for us. President Tinubu is the first real politician to have won an election and become president.
“Obasanjo and Buhari couldn’t call themselves politicians because they were soldiers. Jonathan couldn’t call himself a politician because he came in over the misery of others, but Tinubu is a politician.
“We must have a way to bring about quality minds to think about this democracy, vis-à-vis this opposition play.”
