2025 Taiwan NSTC Internship for International Students

The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) of Taiwan has announced the 2025 International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) to attract global talents in science and technology (S&T).

The program provides a unique opportunity for international students to gain hands-on experience in Taiwan’s academic and research institutions, helping them explore advanced study and career opportunities while enriching the human resource pool in Taiwan’s key scientific research fields.

Program Highlights

• Host Institutions:
  Interns will work in leading academic and research institutions across Taiwan, experiencing the country’s cutting-edge advancements in S&T.
• Subsidy:
  Interns will receive a daily stipend of NT$1,000 (approximately USD 30), supporting their stay during the program.
• Internship Duration:
  The internship  period ranges from 28 to 90 days, flexible between June 2025 and December 2025, accommodating varying academic calendars.

Eligibility Criteria

The program is open to bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students of foreign nationality who:

• Are currently enrolled in foreign colleges or universities.
• Specialize in fields aligned with Taiwan’s core strategic industries.

  Register with a username and password to access the online application portal.
• Complete the Online Profile:
  Fill out the required application questions and upload necessary documents.
• Submit the Following Documents:
  • Online application form https://iipp.tw/
  • Head-shot photo (360×480 pixels).
  • Certificate of enrollment.
  • Letter of recommendation.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English and/or Chinese (limited to two A4 pages per version).
• Review and Submit:
  Double-check the profile for accuracy and submit the application. Revisions can be made any time before the deadline.
