Super Eagles ace Ademola Lookman bagged another award.

Super Eagles ace Ademola Lookman has won Atalanta’s goal of the month for December for his sensational strike against Real Madrid. 

The CAF Men’s Player of the Year’s goal halved his side’s deficit in the stiffly contested tie but could not spark a comeback, as they lost the clash 3-2. 

The African player of the year snubbed Messi and Ronaldo as he named his childhood idol.

EA Sports unveiled their Team of the Year as voted by the fans and the CAF Player of The Year was nowhere to be found.

Ademola Lookman received a cross-field pass from Lazar Samardzic, which left him 1v1 with Lucas Vazquez. With a seamless shift from left to right foot, Lookman mesmerised Spain international, which helped him create space. 

As Vazquez retreated, Lookman seized the opportunity, unleashing a lightning-quick, precision-crafted strike that nutmegged Vazquez and curled into the near post, leaving Thibaut Courtois’ desperate dive futile.

Lookman voted winner

Belgium international Charles de Ketelaere beat Lookman to the December Player of the Month, but the voters preferred Lookman’s goal.

The Nigerian polled 46%, while De Ketelaere finished behind him at 38% for his goal against Empoli in a 3-2 league victory. 

U-23 star Tommaso Del Lungo came third with 11% of the votes for his goal against Padova, while U-19 star Andrea Bonanomi finished 4th with 4%.
