Napoli coach Antonio Conte has addressed the departures of key players, including Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
While defender Alessandro Buongiorno remains sidelined with a back injury, Kvaratskhelia’s €70m move to Paris Saint-Germain has left a void in the squad.

Conte’s stance on replacements
When questioned about potential replacements and whether he prefers experienced players or those with potential.
Conte stated his hands-off approach to transfers.
“I leave the decision to the club. I don’t get into the transfer market. If they were to ask me something, I would express my thoughts,” he explained.
He also criticised the potential for media scrutiny regardless of the type of player signed.
“If we need to do things, we need to do them right, otherwise we will continue with these lads,” he added.
Conte addresses loss of key players
Conte directly addressed the impact of losing important players from the squad that won the Scudetto two years prior.
“I already said yesterday that at the end of the day everyone can express their opinion on whether we are stronger or weaker, but objective facts are that the ‘best’ players who helped win the Scudetto two years ago have all left.
“That’s Kim Min-jae, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia and Zielinski, without counting Mario Rui or Elmas,” he pointed out.
He further simplified the comparison to last season, “Compared to last season, Osimhen, Zielinski and Kvara have left.”
Despite the losses, Conte expressed his commitment to the players he currently has.
“We need to keep our heads down, keep working, not complain about anything. If the club wants to do something, then they will, otherwise I go into battle with these lads and know they will never let me down,” he affirmed.
Conte is focusing on maximising the potential of the existing squad despite the high-profile departures.
