2025 University of Michigan Scholarships For International Students

The University of Michigan’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) invites applications for the International Student Scholarships 2025, a prestigious opportunity for first-year international undergraduate students.

These scholarships  aim to ease the financial burden for high-achieving international students pursuing their education at one of the top institutions in the United States.

Benefits of the Scholarship

The International Student Scholarships provide financial support of up to $25,000 per year, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, contingent upon maintaining eligibility requirements. The scholarship helps cover the cost of attendance, allowing students to focus on their academic pursuits and campus involvement.

Degree Levels

This scholarship is available to incoming first-year undergraduate students admitted to the College of LSA .

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the International Student Scholarship, applicants must be admitted as first-year students to a degree program in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). They must not be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents and are required to enroll full-time, completing at least 12 credit hours per term.

Application Process

Interested students must be admitted to the College of LSA to apply.

• Enrolled Students: Log in to the LSA Scholarships Portal using your UM unique name and password.
• Non-Enrolled Admitted Students:
  • Create a UM Friend Account here: https://lsa.umich.edu/scholarships/prospective-students/international-students.html.
  • Verify your Friend Account on Wolverine Access, completing personal information verification (e.g., UMID, birth date).
  • After verification, log in to the LSA Scholarships Application Portal to submit your application.

The last date to apply for the International Student Scholarships 2025 at the University of Michigan is April 15, 2025. Award results will be sent by April 18, 2025, prior to the College of LSA’s enrollment deadline.
