A potential move for Neymar to Barcelona is practically ruled out in January or the summer transfer window

Barcelona Sporting Director Deco acknowledged the club’s interest in Neymar but admitted that financial constraints have made a reunion unlikely.

Speaking to TNT Sports Brasil, Deco highlighted the challenges of meeting Neymar’s wages under the current financial fair play regulations.

“Neymar’s return to Barça was always a long way off,” Deco explained, adding, “At his best, Neymar is one of the best players in the world. He is welcome at any club in the world, but right now, I see him returning to Brazil.”

Barcelona has been searching for a left-winger to fill Neymar’s former role since he left in 2017, but it seems they will have to look elsewhere.
