Diogo Jota has praised his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, claiming that the Egyptian deserves to be considered among the club’s all-time greats.
Salah has been a key player for Liverpool since joining the club in 2017. He has broken numerous goalscoring records and helped the club win major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League.

Jota’s comments have sparked debate among Liverpool fans about where Salah, a two-time PFA Players’ Player of the Year and three-time Golden Boot winner with the Reds, ranks alongside legends such as Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and Steven Gerrard.
Jota believes that the Egyptian’s achievements at Anfield warrant his inclusion among the club’s greatest-ever players.
“It’s a struggle to compare times [generations] to be honest. It’s so different, but for sure it (Salah’s standing among Liverpool legends) needs to be in that conversation,” said the Portuguese, speaking at the launch of the new Adidas Predator.
Jota is currently missing for Liverpool due to a shoulder injury, having battled muscle issues earlier this season.
