Victor Osimhen enjoyed his latest outing for Galatasaray in the Europa League despite the result against Dynamo Kyiv.

The tournament’s official Instagram account couldn’t resist sharing a jaw-dropping moment from the match, showing Osimhen leaping over a teammate’s head in sheer jubilation after one of his side’s goals.

The post, cheekily captioned “Air Osimhen,” quickly went viral, with fans chiming in with comments like “my brother from Edo State,” celebrating his Nigerian roots and unwavering love for the Lions.

Osimhen’s contribution to the match was crucial, as he netted a penalty that initially gave Galatasaray a commanding 3-1 lead. The home side started strong, with Davinson Sanchez and Abdulkerim Bardakci both finding the net early on. 

However, a late first-half goal from Vladyslav Vanat reignited Dynamo Kyiv’s hopes, setting the stage for a nail-biting second half.

Despite notching his fourth goal in five Europa League matches this season, Osimhen’s efforts weren’t enough to secure victory for his team. Dynamo Kyiv staged a stunning comeback, with Andriy Yarmolenko scoring twice in quick succession, levelling the match at and leaving Galatasaray to ponder what could have been.

Currently sitting fifth in their group with 13 points from seven matches, Galatasaray faces questions about the implications of this draw on their quest to reach the knockout stages of the Europa League.
