2025 World Bank Joint Japan Graduate Scholarship
International students are invited to apply for the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP), offering a unique opportunity for citizens of developing countries to pursue a master’s degree in development-related fields.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following key criteria:
- Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country.
- Have at least 3 years of paid, development-related work experience post-bachelor’s degree.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree earned at least 3 years before the application deadline.
- Be employed in a development-related role at the time of application.
- Not hold dual citizenship in a developed country.
- Be in good health.
- Secure unconditional admission (excluding financial conditions) to one of the 41 participating master’s programs located outside the applicant’s country of citizenship and residence.

Application period for round 1 of Joint Japan World Bank Grad Scholarship (https://www.worldbank.org/en/programs/scholarships/jj-wbgsp) consideration is from January 13 to February 28, 2025 (12:00 noon EST).
