Argentina Summer Scholarship 2025 in Uruguay
The Argentina Summer Program in International Affairs and Business is an exciting opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to immerse themselves in the cultural, political, and economic landscapes of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay.
This faculty-led study abroad program offers a seven (07) week experience in one of the world’s most vibrant regions, combining academic coursework with real-world exploration.
Program and Course Information
The program is based primarily in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a one-week comparative study in Montevideo, Uruguay. Participants will earn 9 credit hours, with an option to complete an additional 3-credit independent research project requiring extended research after the program concludes. The courses cover key topics such as soccer and global politics, Latin American economies, and political economy of development.
Courses for Summer 2025:
- INTA 3242: Soccer and Global Politics
- INTA 4340/8803: Latin American Economies (Cross-listed with Management 4803 and City Planning 4803)
- INTA 4803/8803
- INTA 3303: Political Economy of Development (Cross-listed with Management 4803, City Planning 4813, and Equity, Justice, and Economic Development 6442)
- INTA 2699 or 4699: Independent Research (Requires four additional weeks of research post-program)
The program is conducted in English, making it accessible to students without prior Spanish proficiency.
Housing and Living Arrangements
Students can choose to stay in hotels or private apartments, providing flexibility in accommodation options. However, participants should be prepared for cultural differences, including living in residences without air conditioning or refrigerators.
Scholarships and Financial Aid Available (3 Programs)
The Argentina Summer Program is eligible for most financial aid and scholarships , including:

Program Eligibility
To participate, students must:
- Be at least 18 years old by the program’s start date.
- Have completed at least two full-time semesters of college-level study.
- Be in good academic standing (students on academic warning may still be eligible).
- Have no significant disciplinary violations.
- Complete the mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation.
