Victor Osimhen helped Galatasaray escape a shock defeat away to Hatayspor in the Super Lig.

Nigeria Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been praised after he played a crucial role in helping Galatasaray secure a 1-1 draw against Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig, despite the team’s struggles throughout the match.

The Nigerian striker scored from the penalty spot in the 56th minute, equalising after Hatayspor had taken an unexpected lead through Cemali Sertel’s goal in the first half on Friday night.

The Georgian partnered effectively with Osimhen in Napoli, has completed his medical and will finalize his transfer to PSG.

Following the match, some of the fans took to social media to express their admiration for Osimhen’s performance, even amidst criticism directed at the defending champions.

One fan declared, “@victorosimhen9 was my Man of the Match. He gave many key passes that should have led to goals, but his teammates were wasteful.”

Another supporter emphasised Osimhen’s talent, stating, “The best player in the world at the moment. Bring anyone better than Osimhen.”

The 26-year-old on loan from Italian side SSC Napoli till the end of the season has taken his tally for the campaign to 14 goals and six assists across all competitions this season.
