AFCON 2013 winner and Super Eagles icon Sunday Mba has advised Ademola Lookman to leave Atalanta this summer.
Former Nigeria international Sunday Mba believes Ademola Lookman and Chelsea could be the perfect marriage.
Mba believes Lookman would thrive under Enzo Maresca’s system at Stamford Bridge and will lead the Blues to titles.
“If I was a sporting director or manager at Chelsea, I would push for Lookman. I think it would be a win-win situation for both parties, given the nature of the player,” Mba explained in an interview with Africafoot.

Mba thinks Lookman’s skills would be a perfect fit for Chelsea. “Chelsea should be Lookman’s next home because the style of play suits what Enzo Maresca looks for in his strikers.
“He’s fast, technically gifted, can dribble, create chances and score a lot of goals. With all due respect, most Chelsea strikers struggle to bring out two of those qualities.”

Lookman has been impressive for Atalanta, scoring 12 league goals and providing five assists in the 2024-25 season, and last weekend’s war of words with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has increased the likelihood of the Nigerian leaving this summer.
