In a firm stance against academic dishonesty, Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has expelled 62 students and rusticated 17 others over allegations of examination malpractice.
The decision, approved during the university’s 421st Senate meeting on February 26, 2025, aligns with the institution’s General Examinations and Academic Regulations (GEAR), emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy for misconduct.
According to a university bulletin, the Senate also exonerated five students, issued warnings to 29 others, and deferred three cases for further review.
