You can only be considered for a prestigious scholarship if you are entering Carleton directly from high school or CEGEP. Students who have previously attended any post-secondary institution, whether college or university, are not eligible for these awards.

To qualify for all prestige scholarships, you must attain an admission average of 90 percent or higher. Additionally, the selection committee will evaluate the variety of your extracurricular activities in your community or secondary school.

About Carleton University

Carleton University is an English-language public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1942 as Carleton College, the institution originally operated as a private, non-denominational evening college to serve returning World War II veterans.[4] Carleton was chartered as a university by the provincial government in 1952 through The Carleton University Act, which was then amended in 1957, giving the institution its current name.

Benefits of the  Scholarship

The winner of Jay Woo and CAA Scholarship will be awarded a financial package of $20,000 ($5,000 x four years).

Requirements

• Students submitting an application must have an admissions average of 90% or better plus have demonstrated leadership roles in their extracurricular activities throughout school.
• Only candidate with no previous attendance at a post-secondary educational institution(college or university excluding CE-GEP) will be
• considered. Student must be pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time.

Submit your application by sending an email to awards@carleton.ca. When you send the email, make sure that:

• The reference letter is signed by the referee
• You attach both the application and the reference letter
• You include your student number
