United States of America tech billionaire and President Donald Trump’s adviser, Elon Musk, says the only way to restore the rule of the people is to check judges.
He stated this in a terse statement on his X account on Wednesday.
His comment was in response to a statement by El Salvador president, Nayib Bukele, that “checks and balances don’t truly exist unless the judicial branch can also be checked and balanced”.
Musk, backing President Bukele’s stance on the judiciary, said, “No one is above the law, including judges”.
“That is what it took to fix El Salvador. Same applies to America”.
This comes as Trump’s reforms agenda faces several judicial push-backs.
A day ago, a judge in Maryland blocked the US Department of Government Efficiency from accessing sensitive data maintained by the Education Department and the Office of Personnel Management.
Also, a federal judge in Maryland last Friday blocked President Trump’s government from terminating federal grants and contracts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
