Chelsea and Juventus are reportedly set for transfer talks that could have major implications for Manchester City’s pursuit of a key target.

Chelsea and Juventus are reportedly planning to hold talks over the potential transfer of two defenders, as per reports in Italy.

The Blues are open to letting Renato Veiga and Ben Chilwell leave Stamford Bridge this month. 

Both players have found opportunities limited this season and could be seeking a move in search of regular first-team football.

Juventus are in the market for a left-back and have identified Veiga and Chilwell as potential targets; however, they face competition from other clubs, including Feyenoord and Newcastle United. 

The Old Lady’s interest in signing a left-back is linked to the potential departure of the versatile Andrea Cambiaso, who has been linked to Manchester City as a replacement for Kyle Walker.

If the Blues allow both defenders to join Juventus, it could pave the way for Pep Guardiola’s side to complete the signing of Cambiaso, adept at right-back and left-back. 

Juventus are reportedly bracing themselves for a significant offer from City and are keen to secure a replacement before allowing the Italy international to leave. 

The Spanish boss has revealed that one of the club’s stalwarts intends to leave the Etihad.

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Monday when they take on Wolves at Stamford Bridge, while Juventus’ next fixture sees Thiago Motta’s men play Club Brugge in the Champions League on Tuesday.
