Elon Musk has revealed that the Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, discovered a shocking amount of money being paid into what he termed fake independent media by the US government.
The tech billionaire made the revelation in a post on his official X handle on Thursday while reacting to another post by an X user, @ggreenworld, who said “people in corporate media have zero knowledge of pre-2017 US history”.
According to Musk, “legacy media are mostly just puppets, with massive influence by the state”.
“The amount of money that @DOGE is discovering going from government to fake “independent” media is shocking”, he said.
Elon Musk had in a recent post alleged that Reuters had been paid $9 million by the immediate past administration led by the former president Joe Biden for “large-scale social deception”.
