Mika Biereth continues to dominate in Ligue 1, netting his third hat-trick in just seven appearances for Monaco in their 3-0 victory over Reims. The 22-year-old Danish striker has been in sensational form since joining the club in January, leaving Arsenal fans puzzled as to why Mikel Arteta never gave him a senior opportunity.

Biereth originally joined Arsenal from Fulham five years ago but never made a first-team appearance. Despite impressive loan spells at RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell, and Sturm Graz, Arteta remained unconvinced that the young forward was ready to challenge Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah, and Kai Havertz for a place in the squad.

The prolific striker opened the scoring against Reims in the 34th minute, pouncing at the back post to slot home a cross from Caio Henrique. Just five minutes later, he showcased his composure, controlling the ball in a crowded penalty area before volleying past the goalkeeper.

Biereth has now reached double digits for Monaco, with Friday’s goals marking his eighth, ninth, and tenth for the club. His previous hat-tricks against Auxerre and Nantes already hinted at his lethal finishing ability, but this latest performance further cements his reputation as one of Ligue 1’s deadliest strikers.

Speaking after the game, Biereth remained humble despite his incredible start. “It’s a good night, but the most important thing is the three points,” he said. “I admit I don’t fully realize what’s happening with this new hat-trick. I approach every game trying to score, and my teammates put me in great positions.”

Monaco’s win lifts them to fourth in Ligue 1, strengthening their push for a European spot. Biereth’s meteoric rise has also sparked discussions about his international future, as he remains eligible to represent four different countries.

While Monaco celebrates his incredible form, Arsenal supporters continue to question why a proven goal-scorer like Biereth never got his chance under Arteta. Could this be a transfer decision the Gunners come to regret?
