Former Super Eagles manager Finidi George is set for a return to his former employer Nwankwo Kanu’s Enyimba in a must-win NPFL for both teams.
The decisive moment came in the first half when Imo Obot scored a stunning free-kick, leaving the Rivers United goalkeeper helpless.
Enyimba had shown early dominance, but a crucial save from their goalkeeper, Ani, kept the score level before Obot’s breakthrough.

Although both teams sought to add to the scoreline in the second half, Enyimba managed to maintain their narrow lead to secure the win.
