The boxing great and self-acclaimed ‘Money man’ has continued to splash the cash on yet another expensive accessory to celebrate his new age.

Floyd Mayweather Jr has once again proven why he goes by the name ‘Money’ after splashing a staggering £1.4MILLION on a custom-made 145-carat diamond-encrusted watch to mark his 48th birthday. 

The undefeated boxing legend, whose career earnings are estimated to be close to £1billion, showcased his flair for the finer things in life with his latest extravagant purchase.

Mayweather made a trip to New York’s prestigious diamond district, where he collected the eye-watering timepiece from Pristine Jewelers – the go-to destination for A-listers seeking bespoke jewellery.

The one-of-a-kind watch was crafted by celebrity jewellers Avi Davidov and Ofir Ben Shimon, the masterminds behind Cardi B’s £400,000 diamond engagement ring.

Mayweather expressed his appreciation for the bespoke creation, revealing:

 “Avi and Ofir have been my close friends for over a decade. This watch was crafted by them personally and is very special. And cost a pretty penny.”
