Multiple medal-winning speedster Trayvon Bromell will run in his first 60m race since February 2023 at a college meet in Texas.

Sprint icon Trayvon Bromell will make his long-awaited return by racing in the men’s 60m Olympic development race at the Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas.

The 2016 world indoor champion is one of the fastest men in history with a massive 100m personal best of 9.76s (joint sixth-fastest all time) and 60m best of 6.42s (joint sixth-fastest all time).

Having missed the 2024 season due to an injury, Bromell will be gunning to make an impact in Texas with a statement time to announce his readiness to challenge his country rivals Noah Lyles and Christian Coleman for not just a spot on the US team to the world indoor championships, but the goal of winning the 60m gold medal in Nanjing, China come March.

In Texas, the 29-year-old will run his first 60m race since February 2023 against respectable names such as Michael Dickson and Connor Schulman.

Bromell has a brilliant career resume highlighted by winning 100m bronze medals at the 2015 and 2022 World Championships respectively. In addition to being the 2016 world indoor champion, he represented the United States at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
