Alejandro Garnacho has come under scrutiny following his reaction to being substituted during Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town. Despite Garnacho’s bright start against Ipswich, Amorim opted to sacrifice the winger to reshape the team’s formation following Dorgu’s dismissal.
“We switched to a 5-3-1,” Amorim explained. “It was a risk removing our only one-on-one player, but I felt we were controlling the game. Set-pieces also played a role in the decision.”
Garnacho has been a key figure for United this season, making 40 appearances, scoring eight goals, and providing six assists. His talent is evident, but his temperament remains a point of discussion.
