We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Palm Plantation Manager
Location: Owo, Ondo

Job Description
- We are seeking a highly experienced Palm Plantation Manager to oversee and optimize the day-to-day operations of our oil palm plantation.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for crop production, labor management, cost control, sustainability compliance, and operational efficiency to maximize productivity and profitability.
Responsibilities
Plantation Operations & Crop Management:
- Oversee land preparation, planting, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvesting to ensure optimal yield.
- Monitor palm growth, fruit quality, and soil conditions to enhance production efficiency.
- Implement best agricultural practices (GAP) and sustainable farming techniques to maintain high productivity.
Workforce & Labor Management;
- Supervise and manage estate workers, field supervisors, and contract laborers.
- Develop training programs for workers on harvesting techniques, safety, and equipment handling.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and promote worker welfare and productivity incentives.
Financial & Cost Management
- Prepare and manage operational budgets, cost control measures, and financial reports.
- Monitor expenses related to fertilizers, pesticides, fuel, machinery, and labor to optimize cost efficiency.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvements without compromising quality and sustainability.
Sustainability & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), ISPO, MSPO, and other sustainability standards.
- Implement environmental conservation practices, waste management, and water resource management.
- Monitor carbon footprint, biodiversity impact, and replanting programs.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Oversee FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches) harvesting schedules, transportation, and delivery to processing mills.
- Ensure smooth coordination between field operations and supply chain teams to minimize losses.
- Maintain machinery, equipment, and road infrastructure for seamless operations.
Data Management & Reporting
- Utilize MIS, GIS mapping, and drone technology for plantation monitoring and performance tracking.
- Generate reports on yield trends, productivity KPIs, and operational challenges.
- Provide strategic recommendations for long-term plantation planning and expansion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in oil palm plantation management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of palm oil industry regulations, agronomic practices, and estate management.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Precision Agriculture, GIS mapping, and plantation management software.
- Experience in crop rotation, soil health management, and sustainable agroforestry.
- Familiarity with agricultural mechanization and harvesting equipment.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in remote plantation locations and manage large teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in large-scale commercial palm plantations (10,000+ hectares).
- Understanding of climate resilience strategies and replanting techniques.

2.) Electrical Technician

Job Summary
- The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in our facility.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of electrical safety protocols, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail while upholding the highest standards of housekeeping and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
- Reliable operation of electrical systems within the facility.

- Adherence to safety protocols and GMP standards.

Responsibilities
- Electrical Routine Activities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems and repair electrical wiring, and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to ensure uninterrupted power supply to machinery and equipment.
- Maintenance and Repairs: inspect electrical components, identify electrical problems, and troubleshoot issues using appropriate testing devices., including motors, transformers, switches, and circuit breakers.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to electrical and instrumentation emergencies, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Troubleshooting: Analyze electrical issues and implement solutions promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to electrical safety protocols and regulations. Conduct safety assessments and implement measures to prevent electrical hazards.
- Housekeeping and GMP: Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the work area.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, calibration procedures, and inventory. Prepare accurate reports and documentation as required.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other professionals to identify and implement solutions for electrical problems. Work closely with other departments and external vendors for specialized repairs and equipment upgrades. Provide technical support and training to other staff members as needed.
The Person
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in electrical technician maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, motor controls, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Ability to conduct precise quality checks, maintain accurate records, and ensure cleanliness, meeting GMP cleanliness standards and SOP.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively.

- Your role is essential in supporting our manufacturing processes, and contributing to our production goals while adhering to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:
- Maintain consistent and reliable steam supply to support manufacturing processes.
- Minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of boilers, maximizing equipment lifespan and efficiency.
- Ensure quality by meeting specified parameters and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Operate and control high-pressure boilers, ensuring proper steam generation for manufacturing processes. Monitor boiler gauges, fuel or shell, valves, and auxiliary equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on boilers, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing or replacing parts as necessary. Collaborate with maintenance teams for major repairs and upgrades.
- Monitoring Systems: Use panel systems to monitor boiler operations, detect abnormalities, and troubleshoot issues. Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.

- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on water level, ensuring it meets specified parameters and quality standards. Implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment readings, quality control data, maintenance tasks, and housekeeping duties. Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in the boiler room and surrounding areas. Dispose of waste materials properly and organize tools and equipment to ensure a safe and orderly workspace.
The Person
- High School Certificate or equivalent. Completion of a vocational training program in boiler operation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating boilers in a manufacturing environment.
- Possession of relevant boiler operator certifications and licenses, demonstrating knowledge of boiler operation and safety protocols is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers. Familiarity with panel monitoring systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, hazard identification, and emergency response procedures. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to boiler emissions.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively.
