Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted they are sweating over the fitness of striker Erling Haaland ahead of their Premier League trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
Haaland has scored 27 goals in all competitions so far this season.
However, he suffered a knee injury during City’s 4-0 win over Newcastle on 15 February.
The Norwegian striker was not included in the matchday squad for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, which left City fourth on 44 points.
“Tonight we will know after training,” Guardiola told reporters on Tuesday when asked about Haaland’s chances of playing against Spurs.
“I hope so, but we don’t know yet. He feels better, but we will see tomorrow.”
City are set to be boosted by the return of defender Rúben Dias, after he was only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench against Liverpool.
However, John Stones and Manuel Akanji will not be available.
